PARTICIPATING PRACTITIONERS:

Beth T. McCreary, Ph.D., LLC:
Dr. McCreary received her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Ohio State University (OSU) in 1999. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship that included clinical training from the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Clinic at OSU as well as a research component through Johns Hopkins University. Dr. McCreary obtained her license as a psychologist in 2002 and opened Anxiety and Behavioral Health Services with Dr. Joseph DeCola in 2003.

In addition to conducting cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety, Dr. McCreary has special interests in grief counseling, the treatment of complicated bereavement, and the treatment of perinatal mood disorders such as postpartum depression. She also works frequently with clients suffering from depression or bipolar affective disorder.  Dr. McCreary often incorporates mindfulness practices and acceptance and commitment (ACT) methods into her work.

Dr. McCreary maintains membership in the American Psychological Association and the Ohio Psychological Association.

 


 

Christine Charyton, Ph.D.:
Dr. Charyton received her doctorate in educational psychology with a concentration in counseling at Temple University, Philadelphia. She completed a predoctoral internship at The Fifth Avenue Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy in New York City and a postdoctoral internship at the Lenape Valley Foundation in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.  During her postdoctoral training, Dr. Charyton treated a variety of psychological concerns and conducted psychological assessments for pervasive developmental disorders.

Dr. Charyton obtained her license as a psychologist in 2007. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University (OSU) Department of Neurology and Lecturer in the OSU Department of Psychology. She conducts research on comorbid psychological (such as anxiety and depression) and neurological (such as epilepsy) conditions.

In addition to conducting cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety, Dr. Charyton has special interests in the treatment of comorbid neurological disorders such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and insomnia and comorbid mood disorders such as depression. She also works with clients suffering from a variety of concerns such as depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD and other behavioral concerns.

 

 

 


Sujatha Reddy, M.S.Ed., LPC:

Ms. S
ujatha Reddy is a Professional Mental Health Counselor. She holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Dayton (2005) and is licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapy Board.  She is practicing at ABHS under the supervision of Dr. McCreary while she completes her work towards additional licensure (as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC).

In addition to Ms. Reddy's expertise in treating anxiety, her other special interests include treating relationship issues, postpartum depression, posttraumatic stress, and grief and loss. She uses both cognitive behavioral and solution focused brief therapy methods. She has experience working with culturally diverse populations.

Sujatha's goal is to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust, confidentiality and an open dialogue.  You can expect respect, positive regard and understanding during each counseling session.  She will work to help empower you to a better understanding of yourself, your relationships and your lifestyle.
