Dr. Justin Braun
Dr. Braun received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University (OSU) in 2018. He completed his clinical internship at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. Dr. Braun has specialized training and experience in the delivery of several different modalities of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), the unified protocol (UP) for emotional disorders, cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and exposure-based approaches to address anxiety and panic. Dr. Braun completed a two-year post-doctoral residency under the supervision of Dr. Beth McCreary at Anxiety and Behavioral Health Services. Dr. Braun is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Ohio.
At ABHS, Dr. Braun provides individual cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive conditions, PTSD and trauma-related conditions, and depression. His approach begins with a comprehensive assessment to gain an understanding of each client’s specific needs, problem areas, and strengths to better tailor treatment for each individual. Dr. Braun focuses on helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions and focusing on evidence-based therapeutic strategies and skills to help guide clients towards individualized treatment goals. Dr. Braun also incorporates mindfulness and acceptance-based practices into therapy to help clients live a value-driven life.
