Lauren Esworthy, LPCC

Ms. Esworthy received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee and her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. She is credentialed as a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in both Ohio and Texas. Ms. Esworthy has extensive training and experience conducting cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Prior to relocating to Columbus, she spent five years working at McLean OCD Institute // Houston, where she provided evidence-based OCD and anxiety treatment in both outpatient and residential settings.


At ABHS, Ms. Esworthy specializes in treating obsessive compulsive disorder and other anxiety-related conditions including social anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety (worry) and illness anxiety. In addition to treating specific anxiety-based conditions, she also works with clients experiencing general stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms that can often arise throughout daily life or changing life circumstances.  Ms. Esworthy takes a collaborative and individualized approach in her work with clients, dedicated to working alongside others to help them overcome challenges and make meaningful changes in their lives to improve overall wellbeing.
